When you want to get your children involved in something good, you have a lot of choices. Parents plan their kids’ lives around their school district, home life routine and interests, and they look for quality ways to enhance their child’s life. Sometimes, in order to do this, it’s a good idea to look at how a business started, and how it evolves.
At the Stage Notes School of Music and Arts, we have evolved from a very small shop to a larger one that really brings a wide menu of options for our kids – dance classes, summer camps and much more.
But if you read our story online, our owner, Becky, moved here from out of state in 2008 and taught classes out of her apartment. Then Alexa came on board as a student teacher.
A few years later, we had a larger staff, with three more teachers and a six room studio.
You can read more about our growth on the website, but what this story also tells is how we got to be where we are, an established center in the community for all kinds of student opportunities.
Organic growth means you start with something small, and you build it one step at a time. You don't come in and create a castle overnight – you start with one small room.
In our business, this means working very closely with each individual student, and making families feel heard and accepted. It means offering the right kinds of quality and superior services, or in this case the right approach to helping children acquire those skills that will take them so far later in life. It means listening – and thinking about what’s good for kids, what helps them to excel, and what helps them to feel comfortable taking a step forward.
School districts know how this works – at least, the good ones where administrators earn their salaries do. We do, too – all you have to do is step on site to see how we interact with our children, giving them an environment where they feel safe to learn and create and branch out.
That learning and creating and branching out is often a minor miracle. It's amazing to see what these kids can do when they put their minds to it! And we are exceedingly proud to be part of that journey for so many of our students – but it started with one small room.
Take a look at everything we offer online at our web site to see how you can get your kid involved in life-enriching classes in the Keller, TX area. We’re happy to give you a tour and explain more of our learning philosophy, to see if it’s a good fit for your ambitious youngster!
